Teamwork Central to Mutual Success
Engine Alliance, LLC (“EA”), a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, and GE Aerospace, has named MTU Maintenance Lease Services B.V. (“MLS”) as an exclusive provider of the management of the EA-owned fleet of GP7000 lease pool engines. MLS will support EA with its engine lease pool for Airbus A380 operators around the globe with management of all storage, administrative, logistics, start and end of lease related activities, as well as provide support to lessors during the lease period. Such arrangement supports the entire fleet of EA GP7000 lease pool assets.
“We are delighted to have entered into this partnership with MLS,” said Amy Johnston, President, EA. “As an extremely experienced lessor and asset manager, MLS offers best-in-class service when it comes to maximizing the use and availability of our engine lease pool.”
“This is the largest GP7000 spare engine pool worldwide and we look forward to providing excellent fleet management support to EA and, in turn, their GP7000 airline operators,” said Patrick Biebel, Managing Director, MLS. “Our OEM, MRO and asset management background ensures we can provide the best solutions to customers.”
The fleet management service is executed from the MLS head office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Currently, MLS is working to onboard the engines into the fleet management program, which is efficiently managed through MTU’s proprietary fleet management software platform Cortex Lease.
